It has been one of those hectic Fridays and as it draws to an end, I find myself gravitating towards Einstein’s words of living a simple and unassuming manner of life especially this weekend…I want to live free and light and I have a few ideas of where I can do just that, read on and find out.

Concours D’Elegance, Ngong Racecourse

concoursKenya’s premier motor event is back and the 17th of November promises to be an exciting day out for car enthusiasts starting from 9:00 a.m at the Ngong Racecourse. The 43rd Africa Concours d’Elegance is a competition to find the best vintage cars and motorcycles based on criteria set by the event organizers. Advance tickets are retailing at Kshs 600 (adults) and Kshs 300 (kids) and can be purchased from the CBA banks. Tickets purchased at the gate will retail for Kshs 700 (adults) and Kshs 350 (kids). Lavish Divas

lavishCalling on all models and all fashionistas where ever they may be, this is your chance for recognition and good money. Auditions for this premier fashion event have been on going from the first week of November at the Lavish Lounge, Moi Avenue (IBEA Building) .The actual events will be held on a weekly basis and the judges will include, among many others, renowned model Adby Askar and keeping the crowd entertained will be none other than comedian JB, who will be one of the MCs at the event.

A Touch of Kitenge Party

kitenge-24Taurus events presents ‘A Touch of Kitenge’ which is an African theme night on the 15th of November, starting at 9:00 p.m. Guests are required to have a touch of kitenge in their outfits, be it in their shoes, clothes or accessories.  The entire event will be recorded live by  SOUNDCITY,  a leading African entertainment TV Station. G Money and DJ Kafi (Homeboyz Radio) will be on the decks making sure that the ‘party’ is at the Skyluxx Lounge

OneTouchLive Exhibition

ONETOUCH-LIVE-exhibition_Poster-wSFinally on our list this week is an exhibition by a group of Kenyan photographers who set out into Africa’s terrains after experiencing Nairobi’s best destinations, and take with them their cameras to document the experience. What started out as a hobby and a fun trip, ended up being a serious project, now dubbed, #ShootingAfrica. Attend the exhibition from the 16th to the 22nd of November ,between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the Michael Joseph Centre to see exclusive images from the Kenyan photographers. Photos will be on sale.
