BBQ Live October Edition
Okay when researching on this particular event I must admit, my mouth was left all watery and my stomach, a gnawing reminder that the lunch hour was just around the corner. You would have had the same reactions if you had read what all those who intend to attend the barbeque would be feasting on, but first thing’s first.
Ligi Ndogo, Ngong Road is the venue that BBQ live October edition will be hosted on the 26th of October 2013 as from 11:00 a.m. There will be live performances by Scott The Violinist, A Live Band for a little something spectacular and reigning on the decks will be Dj Joe Mfalme, Dj Exclusive, Dj Saint, Dj Purpl and many more.
Hosts to the event will be Solo of Capital FM and Point Blank.
Now to the part that elicited the above reactions: There will be plenty of all choma available: kuku choma, pork choma, nyama choma, mutura, choma sausage and much much more!
Shisha of all flavours will also be available in an ‘Arabian themed’ set up that will be done by Shisha Supreme. There will be loads of fun activities and we could be looking at just about the hottest event this weekend…but let us not jump the gun just yet, the weekend holds many promises.
The Japan Information & Culture Centre (JICC) is the cultural and public affairs section of the Embassy of Japan in Kenya whose mission is to promote better understanding of Japan and its culture by providing a wide range of information, educational services and events to the Kenyan public. To that end, this weekend on the 26th of October, the JICC will be sharing part of its culture with us by screening a movie by the title, Robo G.
The movie is about three employees of the Kimura Electrical Company who are due to present a new robot to an important robot exhibition in the coming days. After an accident in which the robot is destroyed, to save their job and the company reputation, they decide to hire an actor to get inside the remains of the robot.
Okay, I don’t know about the rest of you but that sounds like a rib cracking movie that is worth watching. The film starts at 2:00 p.m. and entrance to the Japan Information and Culture Centre, is absolutely free. For more info, call +254 (0)202 898 000 or log onto: www.ke.emb-japan.go.jp
